WORK WITH LUMAURA

Our services and what they include.

  • 45–60 minutes

Powerful lived-experience talks that challenge not just how we understand, but also how we respond to mental health and suicide.

In these presentations, Lauren shares her story with honesty and courage — from experiencing severe mental illness as a teenager to surviving a suicide attempt that resulted in the loss of both of her legs and the long journey of rebuilding her life.

Rather than focusing only on awareness, these talks invite audiences to think more deeply about the human experience of mental illness and the role that compassion, understanding and response can play when someone is struggling.

Keynotes are designed for conferences, workplaces, schools, community organisations and public events, creating powerful moments of reflection and conversation long after the speech.

  • 45–90 minutes

Some of the most important conversations happen when people finally feel safe enough to speak.

Through panel discussions, community forums and collaborative events, LUMAURA creates spaces where mental health and suicide can be spoken about openly, honestly and without judgment. These conversations bring together lived experience, professional insight, and community perspectives to encourage a deeper understanding of the complex realities people may face.

By fostering environments where individuals feel safe sharing their thoughts, questions, and experiences, these discussions help break down stigma, create deeper understanding around mental health and suicide, and build the confidence people need to respond with compassion and care when someone is struggling with their mental health.

  • Workshops, learning sessions and facilitated discussions — 60–120 minutes

Real understanding of mental health goes beyond awareness.

Through lived experience and practical insight, supported by trauma-informed principles, LUMAURA helps people develop a deeper, more human understanding of Mental Health and Suicide. These sessions explore the emotional realities that can sit behind mental health struggles, while encouraging people to think more thoughtfully about how we respond when someone reaches out for support.

Rather than focusing only on information, these sessions create opportunities for reflection, discussion and learning — helping participants build greater confidence, empathy and perspective when navigating conversations around mental health.

By bringing greater clarity and compassion to these topics, LUMAURA helps individuals, workplaces, schools and communities engage with mental health in ways that are more informed, supportive and meaningful.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTE

LUMAURA is committed to creating inclusive and accessible spaces.

As Lauren lives with a physical disability, we kindly ask event organisers to consider accessibility when hosting talks, panels or events — including step-free access, accessible seating (particularly for panels or longer discussions), and thoughtful stage or venue design.

Accessibility benefits everyone. Creating inclusive environments allows more people to participate fully in conversations that matter.
